1 Gospel music: Matt Maher will be concert for a free show at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville at 8 p.m., Friday, at 415 North College Avenue. Maher has become a staple in the artistic and song-writing community. Three of his albums have reached the top 25 Christian Albums Billboard chart.

2 Legendary group: Exile, a group that has 11 number one hits, and has sold eight million records, will be performing at the Alma Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m., Thursday. Exile formed in 1963 and managed to top both the pop and country charts during their more than 50-year-long career. Their most successful hit, Kiss You All Over spent four weeks at the top of Billboard’s pop chart in 1978. The five original members of Exile re-formed in 2008 and continue to tour together today. 3 Brass In The Clouds: Performers from the Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will provide an evening of entertainment at one of the Arkansas River Valley’s most beautiful points of interest on Saturday. The 13th annual Brass in the Clouds concert, co-sponsored by Mount Nebo State Park and the Arkansas Tech Department of Music, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Nebo’s Sunset Point. The public is invited to attend. Mount Nebo State Park recommends that audience members bring blankets or chairs for seating comfort. 4 Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair: The Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair starts Sept. 22 and runs through Sept. 30 at the fairgrounds, located at 4400 Midland Boulevard in Fort Smith. Discount armband tickets are on sale now through 4 p.m. on Friday, when the fair starts. The bands are $20 apiece and will increase to $24 after the fair begins.
