Prior to the opening of the fair, the Logan County Fair Pageant will take place Saturday at the Paris Middle School auditorium.

The pageant will take place in two phases, according to pageant director Amber Binz of Paris. Binz said the number of entries in fair queen pageants is down this year across the state.

"If we don’t get more entries, then we’ll do just a crowning ceremony," she said. "So, our times are subject to change."
