The Logan County Master Gardeners will host a native bee program and nest construction activity on Tuesday, June 27, at the First National Bank Community Center in Paris, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
This workshop includes a lecture on native bee ecology and management by Dr. Neel Joshi, professor at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. A native bee nest construction activity follows this presentation, and at the end of the workshop, a solitary bee nest will be provided to each participant.
Registration is not required, and admission is free and open to the public. This is an opportunity for master gardeners to learn more about native bees and earn two learning hours toward recertification.
