The Union School and Church Association on Union Road near Paris will sponsor the 7th Annual Union Art Show on Friday, May 2 , Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, in conjunction with Arkansas Heritage Month.

The school will be open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, it will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A special World War II program about Arkansas’s contribution to the war with music provided by the Forbis Family Band will be presented at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3.

All local artists are invited to participate in the show. Display areas and tables will be set up for all art work. All mediums are accepted for the show.

There will be an Elementary Division (Grades K - 4th) , and a Middle School Division (Grades 5th - 8th) with prize money of $50 for 1st, $25 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd place in each division. High School (Grades 9 - 12) and Adult Divisions will be $75 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $ 25 for 3rd.

Jarrod Yarnell of First National Bank of Paris, Kathy Schluterman of the Subiaco Federal Credit Union, Joe Schluterman of Paris Ford and Dr. and Mrs. Jason Richey have agreed to sponsor prize money for the show.

If you are interested in entering the contest or participating in the show, please call Linda Hamilton at 264-7558. Artists will be able to set up on Friday, May 1 and take down on Sunday, May 2 at 5 p.m. All artists are invited to sell cards or paintings if you would like to set up a booth. There is no charge for the show. All interested artists are invited to participate. Signs will be put at the beginning of Kalamazoo Road to guide you to the school.
