An investigation into an incident that is supposed to have taken place in Caulksville last week resulted in a drug bust with two people being placed into custody by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant was executed at a Caulksville business on Thursday, March 9 and two subjects were taken into custody on felony drug charges. William Douglas Pettigrew, 33, and William James Kuzila, 64, were both taken into custody and placed in the Logan County Jail in Paris.

A quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized during the investigation. Items seized included $597 in cash, 15 syringes, scales and drugs worth an estimated $120.

In an unrelated case, a Magazine woman is facing eight drug-related charges as a result of a Logan County Sheriff’s Department investigation.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit a confidential informant was used to make a controlled buy from Debie Harlan Chesney, 54, from a parking lot in Booneville of a crystal powder suspected to be meth in October of last year.

Two other times in October, according to the affidavit, confidential informants were used to purchase suspected methamphetamine and marijuana from a Magazine address.

In December a search warrant was executed at that Magazine address resulting in a small amount of suspected marijuana, two vehicles, two cell phones, a variety of other items commonly associated with the use of illegal substances as well as flash drives and a UHaul hand cart reported stolen.

Chesney is charged with four counts of delivery of a controlled substance, enhancements for alleged activity occurring within 1,000 feet of a church or daycare, maintaining a premises for a drug operation, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In other unrelated cases, two 15th Judicial District Drug Task Force investigations have resulted in single counts of delivery of a controlled substance in two cases against Seth Terry, 23, for alleged sales in September and October of last year.

In both cases Terry is accused of delivering methamphetamine to confidential informants.

The charges against Terry are Class C felonies.

In another 15th Judicial District DTF investigation, Mercadees Wilkins, 24, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly selling Clonasepam to a confidential informant in December of 2015.
