Last Thursday, on Lake Hamilton, 26 fishermen prowled the shorelines, points and depths in search of bass as part of the latest Hot Springs Village Anglers’ Club event.
Five hours later angler Bruce Zorn and co-angler Bob Brannan came away with a victory.
Zorn took first place with five bass weighing 9.8 pounds. He also won big bass for the anglers with a 4.1 pound beauty.
Dave Keith came in second with five bass totaling 8.3 pounds.
Kurtis Sutley finished third with five bass weighing 6.6 pounds.
Bob “Hot Sauce” Brannan won the co-angler division with five bass totaling nine pounds. He also had big bass in this division with a bass weighing 3.1 pounds.
Jack Kennedy took second place with four bass weighing 5.6 pounds and right behind him with 5.5 pounds was Robert Sonnen.
Upcoming events include a wild card Village tourney on Oct. 16 and a Ouachita tournament on Oct. 25.
