The Focus Program for those being challenged by low vision will hold its monthly support group meeting Monday at 10 a.m.
Richard Johnson will share the outcome from a recent study done by Hot Springs Village Property Owners' Association governmental affairs committee. This study addresses or compares two issues: What are the medical and healthcare services currently offered in the Village and what are the medical services and healthcare needs in the Village?
Johnson spent most of his career as a hospital CEO managing hospitals in the private sector throughout the southern U.S.
Prior to retiring to the Village, he worked in the Department of Veterans Affairs system in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The group meets at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 275 Asturias Drive, lower level, Hoffius Hall. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. and meets until about 11:30. This support group is open to all Villagers who are experiencing low vision or those interested in more information about low vision.
Transportation to and from Focus meetings will be provided by Village Lions Clubs, as needed. If you have questions about the support group, need a ride or would like more information, call Jan Folstad, 915-0270. Make your reservation for a ride before noon Friday to get a ride scheduled.
