In November, the Paris Police Department filed 38 drug-related charges compared to 25 charges in November, 2016. Through 11 months of 2017, Paris PD has filed 443 drug-related charges compared to 357 through the first 11 months of 2016, according to statistics recently released by the department.
During November, PPD officers filed 16 misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, eight felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and 10 other charges of possession of various narcotics.
Also during the month, PPD officer filed nine charges of driving on a suspended license, filed nine failure to appear warrants, made eight arrests on PPD warrants, took eight information reports, filed six charges of failure to prove insurance coverage, five charges of public intoxication, and four charges of theft of property worth $1,000 or less.
PPD officers also served five arrest warrants from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and four warrants from outside agencies.
