Diamond Pipeline LLC has donated $79,567 to Logan County first responder units. The check was presented to Logan County Judge Ray Gack last week.

Gack said the money will be given to rural fire departments, the county’s Office of Emergency Management for a new radio tower, the Logan County EMS and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.

The Diamond Pipeline First Responder Grant Program is aimed at helping responders receive funding for support training and equipment needs along the Diamond Pipeline route in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee. A portion of the pipeline runs through Logan County. The 450-mile pipeline cost $900 million and carries petroleum from Oklahoma to a refinery in Memphis. Work began in 2016 and the pipeline became operational in November. Diamond Pipeline LLC is a joint venture between Plains All America Pipeline and Valero.
