Paris will be invaded by students Thursday when the Logan County Conservation District holds the 27th Annual FFA Field Day.
The event will bring approximately 1,444 students, teachers and volunteers from 71 school districts and local agencies to town, organizers said.
Eleven contests include Land, Livestock, Poultry, Agronomy, Forestry, Floriculture, Dairy Products, Horse Evaluation, Vet Science, Agriculture-Farm Business Management, and Nursery and Landscape.
Employees of Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas cook a meal for all involved.
Logan County schools’ agriculture instructors, other Arkansas agriculture instructors, Natural Resources Conservation Service, West Central Area Conservation Districts, United States Forest Service, Arkansas Forest Commission, Arkansas Research Service, Subiaco Abbey Farms, University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, retirees and local volunteers will be involved in conducting the event.
