A drawing was held last Friday in the County Clerk’s office at the Logan County Courthouse in Paris to determine ballot positions for the May 22 party primary and non-partisan judicial election. A drawing was also held to determine ballot position in the race for a seat on the Paris School District Board of Education.

Here is how the candidates will be listed in each contested race on the ballot:

U.S. Congress (Republican Primary): Randy Caldwell, Representative Bruce Westerman. There is no Democratic Primary for the seat.

Governor (Republican Primary): Governor Asa Hutchinson, Jan Morgan.

Governor (Democratic Primary): Leticia Sanders, Jared K. Henderson.

Secretary of State (Republican Primary): John Thurston Commissioner of State Lands, State Representative Trevor Drown. There is no Democratic Primary for the seat.

Logan County Judge (Republican Primary): Randy Trusty, Logan County Judge Ray Gack. There is no Democratic Primary for the seat.

Logan County Clerk (Democratic Primary): Tracey Hughes, County Clerk Peggy Fitzjurls. There is no Republican Primary for the seat.

Logan County Sheriff: Jason Parsons, Jason W. Massey. There is no Democratic Primary for the seat.

Paris School Board, Position 5: Dustin P. Schluterman, Beth Ullrich.

The deadline to register to vote in the May 22 election is April 23.You can register at the Logan County Clerk’s office in the Logan County Courthouse in Paris. Early voting opens on May 7.
