Fort Smith police are investigating the possible shooting of a vehicle on Tuesday evening.

According to the incident report, around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman told Fort Smith police officer Richard Proctor that she found her 2009 Chevrolet Cobra that was parked in the 5200 block of Johnson Street damaged by bullets after hearing a commotion outside her apartment. Proctor saw the window was shattered and there was a possible bullet hole in the inside roof of the vehicle, though he did not find any shell casings in the parking lot.

A woman said she heard about six shots fired in the area. She said she saw a black Nissan Altima with Oklahoma tags leave the scene after hearing the shots fired, the report states.
