Hundreds of kids and parents flocked to Hempstead Hall on Saturday, April 25 for the 2018 Family Health Expo, where a number of exhibits, games, and providers showcased services and healthy living.

Among the highlights were the Mega Brain, which was a giant inflatable walk-in replica of a human brain, along with a live ambulance tour, a set of crash test dummies for CPR demonstrations, and plenty of healthy treats and personal health scans.

Part intriguing and part creepy, the Mega Brain was a new attraction this year, and the giant inflatable took up much of the Hempstead Hall theater’s stage. Expo visitors were fascinated by the new walk-in exhibit, which also featured examples of various brain diseases and aliments.  Expo visitors saw also many live demonstrations, such as how to give CPR to an infant. Pafford had one of its flagship ambulances placed inside Hempstead Hall itself and provided children tours of this inside. The event also included plenty of fun games, such as a modern version of “Pull a Stick,” popcorn and attractions that entertained kids and adults alike
