Ballot positions have been chosen for the upcoming November general election. Positions were chosen by the Logan County Elections Commission in a drawing held in Paris.

Here are the positions for races in northern Logan County:

Issue No. 3: Arkansas Term Limits Amendment

Issue No. 4: An Amendment to Require Four Licenses to be Issued for Casino Gaming at Casinos, One Each in Crittenden (to Southland Racing Corporation), Garland (to Oaklawn Jockey Club, Inc.), Pope, and Jefferson Counties.

Issue No. 5: An Act to Increase the Arkansas Minimum Wage

Special election in the city of Magazine: Vote on the question of annexation into the City of Magazine of certain contiguous territory.

Special election in the city of Scranton: Vote on the question of a 1 percent Sales and Use Tax within the City of Scranton.

The election will take place on Nov. 6. Polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Early voting will take place from Oct. 22 until Nov. 5. Hours are from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the County Clerk’s office in the Logan County Courthouses in Paris and Booneville.
