The Guardian Angel Raffle held in the fall of each year is one of the largest money raisers for the North Logan County Christmas Guardian Angel Program.

This year, the raffle prizes are a cash prize of $200, a $200 shopping spree at Community Outreach Services, a night stay at The Lodge at Mount Magazine State Park, a full size quilt, a stained glass afghan and a hand carved eagle with a wing span of 41 inches.

The drawing for this raffle will be held during the Frontier Day celebration on Oct. 6 in downtown Paris. You do not have to be present to win.

The North Logan County Christmas Guardian Angel Program is a non-profit organization established to help children from low income families living in the various communities of north Logan County have a Christmas shopping spree. That expedition is accomplished by equally dividing all the proceeds from this raffle along with other donations and sponsorships received during the year. Then, on the third Saturday in December, those children, are guided by various “Guardian Angels” on a shopping expedition at Walmart. They are allowed to choose clothing, shoes, coats, and other needed personal items, which does not include toys and electronics.
