In the lone race specific to Paris, David Rhineheart won another seat on the Paris City Council by defeating challenger Mitch Davis by almost a 2-to-1 margin.
Winning by a count of 490-258 Rhineheart got 65.5 percent of the vote over Davis.
Election night also saw Scranton voters approve a one percent sales tax increase in a vote of 40-15, a winning margin of 73 to 27 percent.
In Magazine voters chose to annex property from the current western edge of the city to west side of Scott Creek on Highway 10. The vote was 117 for to 38 against.
In state matters, county voters shared the sentiment on all three issues, including raising the minimum wage to $11 per hour by 2021. The first increment from the current $8.50 per hour minimum will be an increase to $9.25 in January.
County voters also favored both the voter identification requirement and the measure to place casinos in four Arkansas counties.
