Walter H. “Mack” Byrd, 80, a resident of Paris passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, in Paris.
He was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Paris to the late Montgomery and Gracie (Ellingburg) Byrd. He was a member of Poole’s Temple Church in Paris. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Byrd and James Howard Byrd and two sisters, Laura Ann Johnston and Fannie Mae Smith.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with Pastor Cleveland Campbell officiating. Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Thomas and Divan Davis, both of Paris; a brother, Jordan Byrd of Paris; a special niece, Rubye Wise of Paris and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Milton Richards, Richard Richards, Terry Young, Kevin Swafford, Da’Kovan Wise, Calvin Eubanks, Jr. and Jimmy Jones. Adrine Wise, Calvin Eubanks, Sr., Robert Thomas and Rev. M.D. Wise will serve as honorary pallbearers.
