Emma Lou Freeman Truscott, 84 years old, went to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2017. Lou was born on August 7, 1932 to Otis and Claire Freeman. She graduated from Paris High School and attended Arkansas Tech University.

Lou married Pete Kitterman in Midway, Arkansas, on Sept. 2, 1951. They raised a family in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Fort Worth, Tex. She was divorced and married Larry Truscott on Jan. 1, 1981 in Russellville, Arkansas. They moved from Texas to London, Arkansas, in 1995 to be near Lou’s sister.

Lou was a homemaker and worked as a teacher aide in Bedford Junior High in Hurst, Texas. After moving to Arkansas she worked as a teacher aide at Sequoyah Elementary School in Russellville, Arkansas.

After her husband’s death in 2006 she returned to Texas where she lived the remainder of her life in the care of her children.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Henry (Steve) and son, Craig Kitterman; two grandchildren, Anne Mikel Siegmund (Ryan) and John Tanner Henry (Kristen); siblings, Margaret Pearson (Charles) and Bob Freeman; one niece, Anne Snider (Jeff) two nephews, John Pearson (Angie), and Chad Freeman.

Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p. m. Saturday, May 6, at Ellsworth Cemetery in Logan County, Arkansas.
