Shirley Inez Duggar, 78, a resident of Delaware passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 29, 1939, in Blytheville to the late James Vester and Thelma Martha (Lewis) Thompson. Shirley married Jessie Duggar on April 25, 1959 at New Blaine Church of Christ. She spent her working years in home health and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and studying the Bible. She was a member of the New Blaine Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Manos.
Visitation was held 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine with Bro. Darin Downs officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/paris.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jessie Duggar of Delaware; three sons, Jerry Duggar of Paris, Michael Duggar of Delaware and Steven Duggar of Fort Smith; a daughter, Diana Rice of Paris; two brothers, Benny Thompson of Greenwood and J.V. Thompsont of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce Gilbert of Booneville and Shelby Cathcart of Beebe; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kris Bearden, Jerry Bearden, Nigel Slater, Andrew Hartfiel, Tanner Lorenz, Garrett Lorenz, Nick Coffer and Benny Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Rice, Casey Rice, Tyler Duggar, Jayden Duggar, Brandon Berg and Nathan Berg.
