Mary Ann Thomson, 84, who resided near Charleston, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in Charleston.

She was born July 2, 1933, in Charleston to the late Everett Shorty Buckner and Lettie (Patterson) Buckner Gilsinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam L. Thomson; her step-father, Leo Gilsinger; a sister, Ethel Colvard; and a nephew, Mark Gilsinger.

Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 23 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston. Burial will be at Hampton Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by two sisters, Sue Neissl of Charleston and Betty Holland of Branch; three brothers, Everett Buckner, Don Buckner and Nick Gilsinger, all of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Buckner, Larry Holland, Marvin Holland, Jr., Ed Colvard, Donnie Colvard, William Buckner, Michael Gilsinger, and Mike Davis.

Family will visit with friends following the rosary service.
