Exine Imogene Phillips, 88, of Magazine passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1928 to the late Jim and Audie (Benge) Grigsby. She was a member of the Magazine First Baptist Church and a founding and charter member of the Barnhill Cemetery Fund. She worked several years as a cook for the Magazine schools and loved to sew, crochet, cook, bake, canning, quilting, gardening and taking care of her beautiful flowers. Exine loved children and always loved holding a baby in her arms.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, Julius “Jude” Phillips; her parents; seven brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Anderson of Charleston and Joanie Johnson of Benton; one son, Steve Phillips of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Vondel Grigsby, Barney Grisby and Lloyd Grigsby.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Magazine First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Sam Brown. Burial will follow in Paint Rock Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/paris
