Edna Viola Moody, 97, of Ozark, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 in Ozark. She was born March 28, 1920 in the Jethro Community, Franklin County to P.A. and Nancy Brison Cowan. She was retired from Cargil and was a member of Jethro Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Moody; a son, Duane Moody; and eight brothers and sisters.

Family met with friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Bennett officiating and burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ozark under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Sinyard of Ozark; a son, Lowell Moody of Caulksville; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Cowan, Stoney Conner, Blake Campbell, Dalton Medlock, Andrew Jones, Jadon Godwin, and Kyle Medlock.
