Billy Raye Gray, 85, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas died Friday, February 23, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was a member of New Sulfur Freewill Baptist Church, Owner of Gray Aviation in Ozark, Arkansas and a retired aircraft mechanic of the United States Air Force. He was born March 14, 1932 in Scranton, Arkansas to Otis and Eala Weatherton Gray. He was preceded in death by Dorothy Gray his beloved wife and mother of his children; his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
Billy is survived by his wife Maxine Gray of Prairie Grove; two daughters, Peggy Adams of Van Buren, Arkansas and Eala Chogyoji of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three sons, Don Gray of Springdale, Arkansas, Dale Gray of Scranton, and Tim Robins of Florence, Oregon; eleven grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Danny O’Neal officiating and a 1:30 p.m. burial at Prairie View Cemetery in Scranton under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers were Andy, Terry, and Dale Gray, Ricky and Torey Dodson, and Dalton Waggoner. Honorary pallbearers were Don Gray and Tim Robins.
