Janice Kay Harris, 60, of Paris passed away on June 16, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
She was born Feb. 26, 1958 in Norwalk, Calif. to Merle D. and Ellen I. (Gipe) Hitchcock. She married Larry Bentley in 1975; to this union three children were born.
She is preceeded in death by Larry Bentley; her parents, Merle and Ellen Hitchcock; brother, Rodney Hitchcock; sister in law, Rebecca Hitchcock, infant son, and long time companion, John Klein.
She grew up in southern California until the early 1980s when she made northwestern Arkansas her home. She had numerous jobs before becoming disabled. “Momma J”, as she was affectionately known, loved spending her time with her family, both blood and friends that became family. Janice’s infectious smile and zany dance moves will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Miller; her son, Benjamin Bentley; her brother Lyle Hitchcock of California; three granddaughters; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family plans to hold a memorial for Janice at a later date.
