Ralph Dale Brooks joined the love of his life Helen on Saturday, July 22, 2018. Ralph lived in Paris and was 80 years old. He was born Aug. 16, 1937, in Frenchburg, Ky. to Henry Harley Brooks and Pearl Mae (Pergram) Canady. He is preceded in death by his mother, Pearl, father, Henry, three brothers, Paul, Kent and Steve and his wife, Helen Louise (Dooley) Brooks.

Ralph was a retired truck driver, most recently with Schwartz Stone Company in Midway. He drove a truck for 45 years and saw the country from east to west and north to south. He was also a paratrooper in the United States Army. Ralph was always able to bring a smile to others and lived life his way.

He is survived by those he loved most, his children, Mose Glendon Jones of Oxford, Ohio, Rocky Dale Brooks of Sherwood, Novalee Cotton of Paris and Tonya Marie Reed of Overgaard, Ariz. He had 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Janet Marie (Dooley) Gray of Lexington, Ky. and Rachael Brooks of Paris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.C. Varnadore officiating. Burial will be private under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. An online obituary is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/paris.
