Butch Meister, 48, of Paris passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Magazine. He was born on June 21, 1964 in Des Moines, Ia. to his parents Butch Shafer and Judy Meister. While serving in the United States Air Force he worked as a fireman and later worked as a licensed industrial electrician.
He is preceded in death by his father, Butch Shafer and his step father, David Lee Meister.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Meister of Paris; daughter, Amber Meister of Ozark; sons, Butch Meister of San Antonio, Tex. and Bret Meister and wife Jascinda of Paris; brother, Bryan Meister of Subiaco; his first love, Cena Meister; grandchildren, Raleigh Meister, Bryce Meister, Alyanna Storms, Brent Alan Breckenridge and Kade William Ray Meister; girlfriend Mary Hutchison of Paris; nephew, Bryan Walter Meister of Russellville and close friends, Billy Warnock, Alan Powell, Harold Potts, Tim Pettigrew, Ron Whitley and Mike Mitchell.
Pallbearers were Billy Warnock, Alan Powell, Harold Potts, Kevin Robberson, Donnie Keezer and Tim Pettigrew.
Honorary pallbearers were Greg Williams and Bryan Walter Meister and Jeremy Stinnett.
