Tonya Higgs Hancock, 52, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
She was born on September 1, 1961 in Ozark. to the late Rev. Chester and Barbara Mosley Higgs. She was a very dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had a very kind heart and loved to help others. She never met a stranger. Always took the time to talk to others. She was a member of the Danville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Higgs; mother, Barbara Allen; father-in-law, Keith Hancock; brother, Timothy Higgs; daughter, Leslie Jimeno; grandsons Breyden and Peyton Edwards- Herdman.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Sidney Hancock; sons, Josh Herdman of Danville, Justin Herdman of Fort Polk, La., Danny Sowards of Summit; daughters, Larrisa Higgs of Russellville; Marie Herdman of Dover; and Linda Edwards of Portland, Ore.; 11 grandkids; sisters, Cynthia Ryals of Ruston, La., DeAnna Barlow of Paris, Carla Cossey of Russellville; brother, Bobby Allen of Haughton, La.; several nieces, nephews and her Exxon family.
