In yet another week on the road, the Lady Eagles softball team found mixed results.

In a double header at Mansfield on Tuesday, April 11, Paris fell behind early. Trailing 5-0 heading to their last at bat, the Lady Eagles got a rally started, getting two runs across before the rally stalled and they looked to game two with the 5-2 loss and six fielding errors behind them.

In the second game, nothing went right, and they could get no offense cohesion.

Mansfield took game two easily, shutting out the Lady Eagles 6-0.

Offense has been at a premium for this team, and when they do get offensive production, often fielding errors keep them from the win column. It would be important to get the offense and defensive strength together as they traveled to Waldon for their final game of the week.

In Waldron, it was a much different story.

Paris put up five runs in the first inning in route to an 11-1 run rule victory on the road.

They travel to Lamar on Thursday and then have a rare home game as Cedarville comes to Paris on Friday and Charleston on Tuesday, April 25.

From there, the Lady Eagles will look to tournament play and see how they fare against 3A opponents, of which they have played close most of the season.
