While scores from the Razorback Nation headed to Fayetteville for football fan day last Saturday, Jason Watson and his LadyBack volleyball team headed down the hill to a town most of his players had likely never heard of.

As their charter bus rolled into Paris Saturday morning, the Lady Eagles, along with family and friends, anticipated a chance to watch how the best team in the state prepares for their season. LadyBack Head Coach Jason Watson was a guest speaker at last year’s volleyball championship banquet and again offered high praise for the Paris coaching staff and the community for their hospitality and commitment to excellence.

The Lady Eagles were given the chance to watch the practice and watch the team interact with each other and the staff. The LadyBacks have a young squad and serve as a great example of building culture and expectations. After the practice, players mingled before having lunch together, and of course, called the Hogs.

While Arkansas is looking to build on the momentum of their second-year coach, the Lady Eagles are preparing to make a run to their 6th straight title game as the two time defending champion. Coach K Wes Davis spoke highly of Coach Watson and his efforts to grow the game from a grass roots level.

Paris will host their Blue and White scrimmage on Friday night, starting with the underclassmen and progressing to the varsity.
