Having dealt with their first loss of the season, the Paris High School Lady Eagles volleyball team came into the week again focused and prepared for the excellent play that has defined their season. They would be on the road for three consecutive games after a scheduling change from earlier in the season.

Paris made quick work of Hackett, sweeping 25-6, 25-13, 25-13 in three sets. A night later they would travel to Mulberry where again they would sweep, allowing Mulberry to score a maximum of 10 points, which only came in the third set against a deep rotation. Finally, on Thursday night they went to Waldron, where they would maintain form, sweeping in three sets, allowing a maximum of 14 in the final set, again against a deep rotation.

For the week, the biggest news was setter Riley Owen winning the Max Preps Player of the Week honor, drawing recognition from a statewide audience. Owen has bounced back from a season-ending injury a year ago to be a staple in setting the stage for the Paris attack.

This week they will host Mena on Tuesday and Mansfield on Thursday before hosting their own tournament on Saturday, drawing competition from across the region. Day tickets will be available on site for those wishing to see the Lady Eagles and some of the best talent the area has to offer.
