Seeded fourth after the district tournament, the Lady Rattlers had a difficult pairing in Quitman.

Adding to the degree of difficulty, Lady Rattler pitcher Courtney Stone was advised against playing by her doctor.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 3-0 first inning, scoring twice on balls away from the catcher and another on a Josey Bradley.

Quitman added three runs in the second and two more in the third but Jaysi Watson threw a 1-2-3 fourth.

The Lady Rattlers then got in the game with a three run inning of their own in the top of the fifth. Savanna Cessna started with with a single and Kelsey Krigbaum drew a walk. A triple by Braylea Mathews drove both home and scored on a ball hit by Kiara Vasquez.

Quitman then had the first seven hitters in the bottom of the inning reach base. Five of them would touch home to end the game early.

Quitman went on to win the tournament.

The game was the final one for Lady Rattler senior starters Stone, Watson, Mathews, Reagan Pickartz and Adison Bennett.
