The Paris Lady Eagles came out of the Labor Day holiday weekend ready to play.

West Fork needed to change the location, so what was originally scheduled as an away game became a home advantage for the Lady Eagles. Paris dominated all evening, racing to a straight-sets win, overpowering a West Fork team that worked hard but couldn’t stay in the match.

Ryleigh Hardwicke, Joni Inman, and Faith Mainer kept the pressure up front, combining for 20 kills on the evening. Paiton Forbis recorded six service aces and Paris cruised, allowing Coach Jordan Devine to get players some game experience.

Thursday, Paris traveled to Mansfield to face their former nemesis. Lately, Paris has dominated the series, but it wasn’t long ago that Paris looked forward to the date against Mansfield. Paris took the opening set 25-18, but the second set went to 31-29 before Paris could put them away. The Lady Eagles sealed the evening with another straight sets winner 25-21 and remained perfect on the week.

The Lady Eagles improved to 12-1 on the season, with their only loss coming in tournament play to 5A Alma.
