The Polar Plunge to support Arkansas Special Olympics will be held on Saturday in Paris. The plunge will be held at the City of Paris Swimming Pool. Registration will begin at noon and the plunge will begin at 1 p.m.

The Paris Polar Plunge is an annual fundraising event for Special Olympics Arkansas that continues to grow each year and attracts "polar bears" both young and old. Proceeds from the Polar Plunge allow Special Olympics athletes to train and compete in a variety of sporting events completely free of charge.

Participants raise money for taking the plunge ($50 minimum) and those that raise the minimum and take the plunge all receive a long sleeve event shirt. Prizes will also be awarded for the most money raised and best costume.
