The Paris High School Lady Eagles had little time to think about what might have been after their last-second loss to 4A undefeated Ozark on Friday night.

Last Tuesday they hosted Mansfield, a team they handily took down on the road earlier in the season. The Magnificent Seven roared out of the gates and never looked back, dropping the Lady Tigers 60-35, showing no signs of distraction from the previous week.

Next up for the Lady Eagles was Waldron, another team they had handily defeated early in the season. This night was no different, though Paris didn’t play with the same killer instinct they did the first time around.

Credit Waldron with trying to shut down Kieli Robinson, but the Lady Eagles were still able to spread the floor and isolate Robinson, who dominated down low scoring at will. She loaded the stat sheet with 26 points while Lexy Lee continued her intense play, cutting to the basket and drawing contact.

The combination of Robinson and Lee put Waldron in foul trouble and influenced the late game options they had available. Lee added eight points and Brynn Simmons added six, and Sadie Stark added a shot from deep, something the Lady Eagles want to see more of down the stretch.

Paris now has a winning record after the 42-33 win. With the boys hosting Subiaco for the Tuesday game, the Lady Eagles only have three regular-season games remaining. They travel to Cedarville on Friday and meet a team they beat at home by 20. They then travel to Charleston, who they narrowly lost to, before the final at home against Booneville, where they will again be the heavy favorite on Senior Night.
