Paris officials have announced a week-long clean-up during which residents may dispose of additional trash and yard waste free of charge to help residents clean up their homes and yards. The city-wide clean-up for residents will take place the week of April 27-May 1, and trash will be picked up on your regular scheduled trash pick-up day.
The city is asking all Paris residents to separate household trash from other trash items, including wood, furniture and scrap metal and any small items to be bagged. The City Sanitation Department is also requesting that compressors be removed from refrigerators, freezers and ac units before leaving at the curb.
“We will not accept tires, chemicals, car batteries, shingles, wet paint, oils, or electronics,” said city officials.
Brush and limbs must be stacked next to the curb, butt-end out and leaves need to be placed next to the curb away from obstacles such as mailboxes, poles, street signs and wires.
There will not be an electronics clean-up held at this time.
All trash needs to be on the curb by 7 a.m., the morning of your trash day. For more information, residents may contact the City of Paris at 479-963-2450.
