Casey Mainer, the Athletic Director for the Paris School District, was named as the 3A Athletic Director of the Year by the Arkansas High School Athletic Administrators Association. Mainer is currently in his 3rd year on the job and has navigated Paris through significant changes in his time at the helm. All of the current coaches were either hired under Mainer's direction, or he was on a committee that was involved in the hiring process.

While Paris has many new and young coaches, the transition has produced significant results. Progress in each sport has been seen over that time, and the current coaches are quick to say why. Head Football Coach Tyler Clark said, "That's a huge honor for him and I am not shocked at all. He is the best athletic director that I have worked for. He holds all of his coaches accountable and is always prepared to give us help when we need it."

Jordan Devine, who already has a state title in volleyball since Mainer took the helm, said, "He has been great to us through all of this (COVID 19), guiding us through what we can and cannot do. It is no surprise that he was awarded 3A Ad of the year given his dedication to Paris, the coaches, and the student-athletes."

Donald Hart has been the Lady eagles softball coach and will add Lady Eagles basketball to his resume this year. He said, "Mr. Mainer always does a great job communicating out to the team any changes and updates." Josh Hart, an assistant with Devine and serves as the Head Baseball coach, said, "Coach Mainer is an awesome guy to work for. He will do anything he can to make sure you have what you need to succeed. He is the best around and that is why he won AD of the year."

Mainer is a 1996 graduate of Paris and spent many long days on the field and in the gym as an athlete in Paris. He has seen the facilities improve and change over the years. He has the support of his current coaches, who are all looking and building solid programs at Paris under Mainer's leadership.
