A storm packing high winds caused damage in Paris last Sunday.
The storm moved through the area around 6 p.m.
The majority of damage was reported in an area surrounding Paris High School on Wood Street and on Kalamazoo Road. Several structures at the high school were damaged, according to Paris School Superintendent Wayne Fawcett.
"The most obvious was a wireless transmission tower," Fawcett said. "Had the guide wires not been there, it would have snapped and fallen on the cafeteria."
There was also tree and limb damage reported in the area.
Fawcett and school district maintenance crews were at the high school cleaning up damage Sunday night and Monday. City employees were also cleaning up damage in the area early this week.
