A 42-year-old Paris woman has been charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member after she allegedly ran over a 32-year-old Paris woman twice on Friday, May 24, according to Paris Police Department reports.

The incident took place around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Poindexter and South Elm streets near Southside Baptist Church, according to incident reports.

After her arrest, Pamela Berg was transported to the Logan County Detention Center in Paris. She and the alleged victim, Mari Melisa Dunbar, are both listed as living at the same address in Paris, according to incident reports.

According to the incident report, the two were traveling in a blue, 2002 Isuzu while having an argument. Berg was driving and Dunbar was a passenger, according to the incident report.

According to witness statements, Dunbar got out of the vehicle while it was still moving and "…driver ran into her with the car knocking her down and then ran over her twice. Driver dragged the girl at least 10 yards under the car."

Another witness report stated "The passenger got out of the car while the driver was still driving. The driver slammed on the brakes. While the passenger kept walking the driver pushed on the gas with force and ran over the passenger twice then back up over her. Then drove forward dragging the passenger."
