CHARLESTON — Betty M. Gipson, 77, of Charleston died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, in Fort Smith. She was born April 22, 1941, near Lavaca. She was the retired owner and operator of Granny's Restaurant in Charleston, of the Free Will Baptist faith and the widow of Wayne Gipson.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Meyers of Alma; two sons, Mitchell and Mikie Hutchins, both of Charleston; two brothers, J.C. Hutchins of Lavaca and Warren Hutchins of Charleston; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie, Bailey and Kelly Hutchins, Johnny, David and Roger Harris.

Visitation was 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
