Franklin Earl Robberson, 78, of Dardanelle died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1936 at Paris to the late F.F. and Lorena Tidwell Robberson.

He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he served as bookkeeper and treasurer of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He was a member of the Dardanelle First Assembly of God Church where he served as deacon and secretary for over 35 years, member of Gideon’s International, board member on the Chickalah Fire Department, past Board of Director’s for Farm Credit Services and past board member of the Arkansas Valley Farmers Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers and brothers, Carl, Fred and Delano Robberson and a grandson, Zachary Garner.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Dardanelle First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Dacus Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Sue of Dardanelle; three children, Alan and Kathy Robberson of Dardanelle, Linda Joan and Jimmy Estala of Midway, Janice Reeves of Dardanelle; four brothers, Charles Robberson of Paris, Clarence Robberson of London, Roosevelt and Clara Jean Robberson of Decatur, Raymond and Margaret Robberson of Rockwall, Tex.; eight grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
