Geneva Ann Poole, 94, of Paris, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 in Paris. She was born on June 9, 1919 in Stigler, Okla. to her parents, Carl Raymond and Clara (Parks) Hightower. She worked as a Certified Food Inspector, Helping Hands Nurses Assistant and the Paris Forrest Service. She was a member of CME Methodist Church in Gray Rock.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie "Hoss" Poole; children, Clara Ellingberg and Zeno Powell; sister, Alice Cooper; brothers, John and Jonathan Hightower.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 15 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Burial followed in Gray Rock Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Sign online guestbook at

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Brown of Granview, Mo. and Clarice Stimpson of Plano, Tex.; sons, Melvin Powell of Plano, Tex., Charley S. Poole of Paris and William Poole of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Beulah Logan of Medera, Calif.; 30 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Bates, Quincy Poole, Charles Bates, Carlton Hightower, Edward Lee Ellingberg, Delvin Powell and Melvin Richards .

Honorary pallbearers were Nicholas Ellingberg, Patrick Ellingberg and Bobby Dawson.
