Larry Lee Romero, 62, of Paris, passed away on Sat., Jan. 11, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born on Sept. 24, 1951 in Abbeville, La. He was a retired truck driver for over forty two years, of the Assembly of God Faith and a United States Army National Guard Veteran. He loved to make people smile, spending time with his grandkids, loved life, loved driving trucks, talking backwards and was always willing to help others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Romero and Ethel Mae Bourque.

He is survived by his wife, Laveda Romero of Paris; daughters, Gracey Reyes of Alvin, Tex., Terri Mouton of Abbeville, La., Jennifer Varnell of Paris and Cindy Weaver of Paris; brothers, Terry Romero of Arnaudville, La. and Mike Romero of Youngsville, La.; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m., on Wed., Jan. 15, 2014 at Moore Cemetery in Greasy Valley South of Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Online guestbook at

Pallbearers will be Daniel Mouton, Daniel Patterson, Andy Brooks, Nathan Mitchell, John Winton and Donovan Varnell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Ellrod and Jerry Blum.
