Ralph W. Hoppensteadt, 79, of Paris passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born on Aug. 8, 1934 in Beecher, Ill. to Walter and Ottillia Hoppensteadt. Ralph Retired from Cloyes Gear where he worked in Quality Control, was a member of the Roseville Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ottillia (Korthauer) Hoppensteadt and a sister Joan Wehling.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Stella Ilene (Sewell) Hoppensteadt of Paris; one son, Walter R. Hoppensteadt of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Peggy Yoakley of Greenwood, Julie Freeland of Greenwood, Cindy Holt of Greenwood, Miss. and Kelly Eveld of Charleston; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris officiated by Rev. Clyde Vire. Burial will follow in McVay Cemetery in Carbon City under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
