Ronald Gene Phillips, 60, of Roanoke, Tex. passed away on Jan. 4, 2014 in Roanoke. He was born on May 28, 1953 in Paris to his parents Bobby Gene and Mazie (Fairbanks) Phillips. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University and his Masters Degree in Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a successful business owner, a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas and an Air National Guard Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his father Bobby Gene Phillips and his brother Jerry Phillips.

He is survived by his daughter, Becca Clarke of Justin, Tex.; sons, Evan Phillips of Roanoke, Tex. and Rayburn Phillips of Watauga, Tex.; Ben Elder of Justin, Tex. and Mathew Clarke of Justin, Tex. whom he always considered as his sons; mother, Mazie Phillips of Paris; brothers, David Phillips of Paris and Rick Phillips of Paris; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., on Sat., January 11, 2014 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Don Alexander. Burial will follow in Paint Rock Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at
