Next week, the Paris Rodeo Arena located in Veterans Park will come to life with the Paris Round-up Club Rodeo.

On Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, the lights will come on and the gates will open for what is one of the summer’s finest treats. Last year, near capacity crowds gathered each night to watch the best rodeo talent in the area compete for the cash prize, which this year has $4,000 of added money. Each night, the Old Fort Dandies will perform, along with the grand entry, mutton busting, and children’s calf scramble.

The dirt will be flying as the saddle bronc, bareback, and bull riding takes center stage. There will also be calf roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, and nightly jackpot team roping. Barrel racing will also be featured and is always a crowd favorite. A year ago, it was often the stock that took center stage, and again this year, G Money Rodeo and LJ Jenkins Bucking Bulls will provide the longest eight seconds in town.

For those looking to compete, books open Monday, June 11 from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m., and can be done by calling 918-971-2048. The Paris Round Up Club Rodeo is sanctioned by the ACRA and CRRA.

This is a great family event, starting at 8 p.m. nightly and priced so everyone can attend. Tickets are only $5 and kids five and under are free.
