After playing their first seven games of the season on the road, the senior high Lady Eagle basketball team finally got a chance to play on their own court and put on quite a show for the crowd as they whipped up on the visiting Booneville Lady Bearcats for a 59–26 win.

Despite missing several free throws in the opening quarter, the Lady Eagles posted up and put 22 points on the board while holding the Lady Bearcats to a paltry seven points in the eight minute period.

Although Paris did not play as well in the second quarter and put only 13 points on the board they kept up their defensive game and again held the Lady Cats to only seven points for a 35–14 halftime lead.

The Lady Eagles went back to work in the third quarter and in addition to pumping in 20 points denied the Lady Cats a single field goal in the quarter, giving up a single free throw to extend their lead to 55–15 and setting the mercy rule in effect.

With the 40 point lead, the starters for the Lady Eagles exchanged seats with second team and the final eight minutes rolled by with Paris adding four points while Booneville had their best showing and added 12 in the 33-point loss to the Lady Eagles.
