Main Street Paris seeks recipe submissions
Some of the best recipes are passed down from one generation to the next, a staple in the family cookbook that provides delicious go-to meals.
Food brings people together, and the Main Street Paris Program asks for families to share those meals with friends and neighbors through the Main Street Paris Community Cookbook to connect with other residents to demonstrate that Paris is a community-centered town.
The cookbook will include various recipes, whether it is a favorite dish, something that represents one's culture or evokes a favorite memory.
Main Street Paris Director Shawna Stengel said, "We will be selling these cookbooks as a fundraiser for Main Street. We should be getting a Main Street grant soon, but in order to use the grant, we have to have enough funds in our Main Street Paris account first."
Main Street Paris is seeking 500 community submissions and names will be published with the recipe.
"We want your recipes! We want your grandma's recipes! We want your kids' recipes! Our Main Street cookbook site is up and ready for you."
Cookbooks will be available at the PACC office and any stores that wish to carry them.
"We don't have a sure price on the cookbook yet, that will depend on how many recipes we have."
To submit a recipe for the cookbook project, go to https://www.typensave.com/ and log on as Main Street Cookbook. The password is Main Street Cooks.
