Man arrested for alleged sexual assault of two minors

Logan County Sheriff's Office arrested a 20-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting two related minors.

According to the Sheriff's Office news release, Anthony Andrepont was arrested Monday, July 27 on anticipated charges sexual assault in the second degree, a Class B felony, and sexual assault in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor. The offenses are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and one year in jail in Arkansas.

An investigator from the Logan County Criminal Investigation Division was called out to interview two minors after a relative of the victims called the Sheriff’s Office to report the abuse. After interviews with the minors, Andrepont was arrested and the Child Abuse Hotline was notified, the release states.

Investigators are preparing a case file for Logan County prosecutors who will determine the charges that will be filed.
