Hamilton House sets ’Puzzle Box’ fundraiser
Hamilton House Child Safety Center in Fort Smith started a new fundraiser supporting its mission to provide hope, healing and a voice to abused children through comprehensive forensic services.
The “Be a Piece of the Solution-End Child Abuse” fundraiser is underway. By purchasing a virtual piece or pieces of the 1,000 piece puzzle, supporters can be a “piece of the solution to end child abuse,“ a news release states.
In 2020, more than 900 children have passed through the doors of Hamilton House (located behind Mercy-Fort Smith).
The Hamilton House team, in conjunction with local investigating agencies, work to ensure a “child’s story is heard, justice is served and each child has someone to turn to during this broken time in their life,” the news release adds.
Advocacy, forensic interviews, sexual assault medical examinations and mental health referrals are provided around the clock, seven days a week to children ages 0-18 from Sebastian and surrounding counties,
“Imagine the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that haven’t been pieced together; some pieces are flipped upside down, all are in disarray and chaos, this image represents the brokenness child victims frequently feel,” the release states.
Puzzle pieces are $25 each and can be purchased by going to www.hhsafetycenter.org; through the Hamilton House Child Safety Center Facebook page; by cash or check, credit or debit card at the center; or by mailing a donation to Hamilton House Child Safety Center, 2713 S. 74 St., Suite 103, Fort Smith, AR 72903.
Supporters who would like more information on how to help Hamilton House can also call Kim Bice at 479-353-0273. A donation furthers their mission to serve child victims of abuse in our community. Hamilton House provides services at no charge to children and their non-offending family members.
