Here are the top high school performers from the River Valley area this week:

Monday

Boys

Caden Fox, Poteau: Struck out nine batters in six innings as the Pirates posted a 7-4 win against Idabel.

Bailey Mattingly, Sallisaw: Mattingly recorded 13 strikeouts as the Black Diamonds defeated Broken Bow, 9-4.

Girls

Jadyn Hart, Paris: Tossed a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 15. Hart also had three hits as the Lady Eagles defeated Magazine, 15-0.

Sara Ulmer, Booneville: Ulmer went 3-for-3, including an inside-the-park home run, and drove in three as Booneville posted a 17-0 win against Two Rivers.

Tuesday

Boys

Luke Watson, Lavaca: Watson scored 10 points as the Golden Arrows defeated Magnet Cove, 40-30, in the opening round of the 2A state basketball tournament.

Derius Wise, Northside: Wise went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored as the Grizzlies defeated Van Buren, 8-3.

Mason Bradley, Paris: Bradley had three hits and two RBIs as the Eagles defeated Waldron, 10-2.

Will Stratman, Muldrow: Had a pair of RBIs in the Bulldogs' 10-2 win against Panama.

Tanner Mings, Sallisaw: Mings drove in four runs as the Black Diamonds blanked Broken Bow, 11-0.

Breckon Ketter, Charleston: Ketter had two hits and three RBIs as the Tigers rolled past Cossatot River, 10-0.

Landry Jurecka, Greenwood: Jurecka struck out nine batters in seven innings as the Bulldogs edged Greenbrier in 5A-West action, 3-2.

Eric Dover, Alma: Scored a game-winning goal with less than three minutes left in the Airedales' 2-1 soccer win against Dardanelle.

Girls

MacKenzie Mendenhall, Hackett: Mendenhall struck out six in five innings while getting three hits and driving in two runs in the Lady Hornets' 10-0 win against Danville.

Madison Blaylock, Northside: Had three hits and drove in five runs as the Lady Bears rolled past Springdale, 27-9.

Hayley Lunsford, Booneville: Went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and four runs scored as the LadyCats posted a 23-1 win against Cedarville.

Wednesday

Boys

Jordan Wright, Northside: Wright had a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds and also blocked five shots in the Grizzlies' 55-48 win against Springdale Har-Ber in the first round of the 6A state tournament.

David Sorg, Southside: Sorg struck out five in four innings and also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs as the Mavericks defeated Paris, 10-0.

Connor Johnson, Van Buren: Johnson allowed two hits while striking out eight as the Pointers posted a 5-1 win against Russellville.

Girls

Racheal Watie, Roland: Watie had 19 of her team-high 22 points by halftime as the Lady Rangers rolled to a 64-25 win against Valliant in the first round of the 3A state tournament.

Mady Cartwright, Greenwood: Cartwright scored 18 points as the Lady Bulldogs opened the 5A state basketball tournament with a 65-44 win against Hot Springs.

Alyson Edwards, Mansfield: Edwards scored 15 points as the Lady Tigers posted a 51-33 win against Horatio in the 2A state basketball tournament.

Madi Conklin, Southside: Drove in two runs as the Lady Mavericks rallied from an early deficit to edge Paris, 6-5.

Thursday

Boys

Isaac Villarreal, Waldron: Scored 21 points, 10 of those coming in two overtime periods, as the Bulldogs survived Baptist Prep in double overtime, 73-66, in the first round of the 3A state basketball tournament.

Brayden Oglesby, Howe: Recorded a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Lions downed Cashion, 47-37, in the 2A state basketball quarterfinals.

Jagger Dill, Poteau: Dill had three hits and six RBIs as the Pirates won a wild game against McAlester, 17-13.

Chance Broussard, Booneville: Had four hits and two RBIs as the Bearcats defeated Mansfield, 18-8.

Girls

Khassidy Warr, Northside: Warr had 15 points in her first start of the season to help the Lady Bears past Springdale Har-Ber, 62-50, in the first round of the 6A state tournament.

Makayla Twyman, Howe: Twyman scored 18 points as the Lady Lions defeated LeFlore County rival Pocola, 56-47, in the quarterfinals of the 2A state basketball tournament.

Makinzie Erwin, Alma: Had three hits as the Lady Airedales defeated Hackett, 9-1.

Rylee Ross, Charleston: Ross gave up one hit and struck out eight in four innings, while getting two hits, including a two-run double, in the Lady Tigers' 12-0 win against Lavaca.

Lexi Franklin, Booneville: Hit a solo home run and had two RBIs while striking out 12 batters in the LadyCats' 7-3 win against Dardanelle.
